The Wisconsin Holstein Youth Mentorship Program is designed to help youth in the Wisconsin Junior Holstein Association make connections and learn about employment opportunities in the dairy industry. This program allows youth to choose an interest, and spend one day to two weeks with the selected business or farm. To apply, juniors should fill out an application form that asks them to list their top three choices of people/places to ‘mentor’. There is no monetary reimbursement required for this program from hosts to youth participants.
If interested in participating in this program, please contact the WHA Office at 1.800.223.4269 for more information. This is an excellent opportunity for youth who are not ready for an internship to see what is available in the dairy industry.
