Our Association

Established in 1890, there are now over 2,000 Wisconsin Holstein Association members and 900 junior members. The association is a voice for dairy producers in Wisconsin and offers a network across the United States.

We work with many facets of the dairy industry to promote, educate and develop programs that will help our membership and the dairy community as a whole.

Our members have a passion for breeding, raising and milking Registered Holstein cows that help sustain Wisconsin as America's Dairyland. Registered Holsteins offer dairy producers more lifetime profit per cow due to the advancement of our breeding programs.

WHA began in 1890 and has been a part of the dairy industry since the beginning with members that are a key part of all aspects of the dairy industry. We offer adult and junior programming, awards and recognitions and events to facilitate networking and camaraderie among those passionate about Registered Holsteins.

Membership

Our adult membership offers members a network to gain visibility for their accomplishments, opens doors to a world market to merchandise their animals, establish partnerships and keep them informed on industry trends. We offer junior membership which give juniors interested in dairy a unique outlet to other members with the same interest.

Wisconsin Holstein Association members are eligible for numerous awards that recognize outstanding Holstein breeders in the state as well as outstanding Wisconsin cows.

WHA recognizes young and distinguished breeders, top performing cows, and sponsors furthering young adult education activities. Our junior program offers a variety of awards to honor our youth members.
