2024 Show Social Media Internship

The Show Social Media Intern will be responsible for online coverage during the Wisconsin Holstein District Shows in the month of June and the beginning of July using WHA Facebook and Instagram platforms and the WHA website. This internship will run from approximately June 10 to July 10 with additional opportunities available depending on the interest of the candidate.

 

Duties:

  • Take and share class winner candid images and information across WHA Facebook and Instagram feeds

  • Record live videos of champion drives; take and share pictures of these winners

  • Type and share online results of the show on the WHA website; sharing this link at the beginning and end of the show on social media outlets

  • Act as show photographer as needed (optional)

 

Skills needed:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Basic understanding of cattle conformation to get the best image possible of class winner

  • Knowledge of iPhone or Android photography

  • Ability to type results efficiently and accurately

 

Equipment needed:

  • Intern will use their own iPhone or Android for candid class winner images, phone needs to have a functioning camera

  • A reliable vehicle to travel to the show, mileage is reimbursed

  • If intern is interested in show photography, having a DSLR camera is a plus, otherwise equipment will be provided

 

This internship can be customizable to candidate’s interest throughout the summer and is not limited to the duties above. Open to 2- or 4-year college students and graduated high school seniors. Intern will receive an hourly wage and mileage reimbursement.
